Each Helix Mattress is made using high-end materials in varying densities and IFDs in order to achieve different feel and support characteristics. While the layers and specific materials in your mattress may differ from model to model, we use the following materials:
Cover:
Our Core Collection mattress models include a choice between two hypoallergenic top fabrics: our Soft Touch 100% polyester cover, designed to promote airflow, or the premium GlacioTex Cooling Cover, a 50/50 blend of polyester and polyethylene, which is cool to the touch and pulls heat away from your body.
Luxe and Plus mattress models also include a choice between two hypoallergenic top fabrics: our moisture-wicking TENCEL™ cover or the GlacioTex™ Cooling Cover, made with fibers with high thermal conductivity for rapid heat dissipation.
The Helix Elite collection includes our advanced GlacioTex™ Elite Technology. This phase change fabric optimizes your sleep temperature from the minute you lie down providing you with all-night cooling comfort.
The Helix Kids Mattress is covered in a hypoallergenic and breathable TENCEL™ fabric and is treated with a water-repellent finish and a hygienic microbe shield.
Foam:
Memory Plus Foam - Uniquely contouring and cushioning, we use Memory Plus Foam - a high density special Helix blend. IFD:10. Density: 2.5-4.0 PCF.
Helix Dynamic Foam - Our special latex-foam hybrid alternative, designed to react to and cushion your body. IFD: 10-20. Density: 2.5-3.75 PCF.
High-Grade Polyfoam - Providing pressure relief and ergonomic support for your body type. IFD: 20-55.
DuraDense Foam - Used in the bottom layer of the mattress to provide base support and durability IFD: 55.
Springs:
Individually Wrapped Coils (8 inches) - Hundreds of individual coils made from 100% tempered steel help to cradle your body while also limiting motion transfer. All Core Collection mattresses include reinforced side coils (lengthwise) to provide edge support. All Luxe Collection, Elite Collection, and Helix Plus mattresses include full perimeter reinforcement.
