Helix mattresses use 8-inch individually wrapped coils made from 100% tempered steel, with each spring individually heat-treated during manufacturing for long-lasting durability and resistance to wear over time.
The coils are wrapped in a polypropylene non-woven fabric, which helps reduce friction and noise while allowing each coil to move independently. This design helps cradle your body, provide consistent support, and limit motion transfer—so movement on one side of the bed is less likely to be felt on the other.
Here’s how our coil systems vary by collection:
Core Collection: Core Collection mattresses (with the exception of the Helix Plus) include reinforced side coils running lengthwise to enhance edge support and provide a more stable feel when sitting or sleeping near the edge.
Luxe & Elite Collections: Luxe and Elite mattresses (with the exception of the Helix Plus) feature full perimeter reinforcement along with zoned lumbar support. Firmer coils are strategically placed within the middle 15 inches to offer extra support where your body needs it most.
